Cookie Policy

The cookies and similar technologies we use — which, today, means only the essentials — and how you stay in control.

Last updated · June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how TelVox uses cookies and similar technologies on telvox.dev, what each one is for, and how you can manage your choices. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What these technologies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. “Similar technologies” include browser storage mechanisms such as localStorage, which lets a site remember information on your own device between visits. Both can be essential (needed for the site to work and to honour your preferences) or non-essential (used for analytics, personalisation or advertising). Today, TelVox uses only essential, locally-stored preferences.

What we use

We keep this deliberately minimal. The only data TelVoxstores on your device is held in your browser’s localStorage, and it never leaves your device as a tracking identifier:

  • Theme preference — remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme so the site looks the way you left it.
  • Cookie-consent choice— remembers the decision you made in our on-site consent banner so we don’t ask you again on every visit.

We do not currently use analytics, performance, personalisation or advertising cookies, and we do not use any third-party cross-site tracking technologies.

Cookie categories

For clarity, here is how the standard categories map to what we actually run today. We list them all so this policy stays accurate if our use ever changes.

Essential — always on

Strictly necessary to provide the site and to honour the choices you make. This covers your theme preference and your cookie-consent choice, both stored locally as described above. Because these are essential, they cannot be switched off from within the site, but you can still clear them using your browser controls.

Analytics — none currently

Analytics technologies would help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not use any today. If we ever introduce them, we will update this policy and request your consent through the consent banner before any non-essential analytics technology is set.

Marketing — none currently

Marketing or advertising technologies would be used to measure campaigns or show tailored ads. We do not use any today, and we do not sell personal data. If this ever changes, it will be opt-in and reflected here and in the consent banner.

Managing your choices

You stay in control in two ways:

  • Our consent banner. When non-essential technologies exist, you can accept or decline them in the on-site consent banner, and revisit that choice at any time. Your decision is the cookie-consent preference stored locally on your device.
  • Your browser. You can view, block and delete cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings. Clearing this data will reset your theme and consent preferences, and the site may ask you to set them again. Note that blocking essential storage may affect how the site behaves.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in the law. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. If we begin using any non-essential technology, we will ask for your consent before doing so.
